MotoGP 2025 finally roars into action in Buriram this weekend, kicking off a season that promises to be a fireworks display of rivalries, twists and turns and rising stars. After a spectacular start in Bangkok, the World Championship heads to Thailand for 22 races, ready to deliver breathtaking duels and battles for the throne right up to the final chequered flag.

The opening in Buriram provides an ideal setting to kick off this frantic competition. The anticipation surrounding the confrontation between Francis Bagnaia et Marc Marquez is immense. The two drivers, with impressive trajectories and champion baggage, will now compete under the colors of Ducati.

After an eventful 2024 season, this confrontation should add even more spice, especially since, despite the tests, Marquez seems to have a slight advantage. However, let's not underestimate bagnaia, who excels at silencing critics. Their rivalry promises to dominate the season, with breathtaking duels at every turn.

George Martin, the defending champion, saw his ambitions disrupted by back-to-back injuries during pre-season testing, depriving him of the season opener. His absence could well make way for Marco Bezzecchi, who has shown solid form during testing and could be the one to carry Aprilia's hopes. Bezzecchi has been impressive and could well take the reins of a team ofAprilia more competitive than ever. The challenge is now on his shoulders to demonstrate thatAprilia can fight at the forefront.

A historic season in perspective begins in Thailand

Peter Acosta is ready to make waves in 2025. With a brilliant 2024 season in Moto2, the Spaniard arrives at KTM with high expectations. Fast and confident in testing, Acosta already looks set to make an immediate impact. His quest for his first victory in MotoGP starts now, and his teammate Brad Binder will not give him any respite. The team KTM showed great cohesion, and Acosta could well be the surprise of the season.

Yamaha seems to have turned the page on its past difficulties with significant changes and a fabio quartararo who shines in the trials. Although he had a more discreet approach in Buriram, Quarterly seems more competitive than ever. With alex rins who accompanies him, Yamaha could well have the weapons to fight for the podiums this year. The Japanese manufacturer could also restore its image with the arrival of Prima Pramac Yamaha, with Jack Miller et Miguel Oliveira ready to give their best.

The big issue of the 2025 season is the fight for the MotoGP throne. Marc Marquez, with its eight titles, could well equal the record of Valentino Rossi, but it will have to face increasingly fierce competition. With a grid of 15 potential winners, this year's championship could well mark a decisive turning point for drivers and teams.

Let the battle begin! And here are the times for the first rounds on Friday
