The rain definitely bodes well for the KTM clan which celebrated a new victory in Thailand in these conditions with its rider Miguel Oliveira. The latter had indeed won in Indonesia on a Mandalika track as wet as that of Buriram at the start of the season. At Tech3, we were less visible, but Hervé Poncharal's drivers still provided reasons for satisfaction. So, before his fall, Remy Gardner was fighting for points while his teammate Raul Fernandez brought one back to the box, with what's more the status of the best rookie at the end of this daunting event...

A result which allows Hervé Poncharal to leave Thailand with as much sense of duty accomplished as his partners in Mattighofen: “ it was a solid race in the rain for Tech3 KTM Factory Racing » rejoices the French boss. “ Raul Fernandez and Remy Gardner got off to a good start for their Thailand Grand Prix, and they were easily in the points from the first laps as they both made interesting overtakes, with very good pace ».

Hervé Poncharal: “ very special congratulations to Miguel Oliveira and KTM for their second victory of the season »

« Unfortunately, Remy crashed and lost the front, which is a shame because he was practically in the points » regrets the tricolor who adds: “ Raul kept his head down and continued to fight smart to finish the race as the best rookie, and earn a point. He even finished ahead of the pole sitter, Marco Bezzecchi, which shows that his driving was really good. He learned a lot, the conditions were not easy at all with a lot of water at the start and less at the end meaning less grip, and he handled that very well ».

Hervé Poncharal finished : " I just want to thank both my drivers for their work this weekend, and a special congratulations to Raul for his race. Of course, very special congratulations to Miguel Oliveira and KTM for their second victory of the season. He had an incredible race, and is truly a rain master. I am very happy for him ».
