The accident of Tito Rabat during a free practice session at Silverstone impressed and was the precursor to a cancellation of the subsequent British Grand Prix. His replacement also caused a lot of ink and saliva to flow to the point that a regulatory grooming was carried out on the general subject of racing in MotoGP during the Aragon meeting. But the Avintia pilot does not stop there and is now preparing to explore the frontiers of medical science…

The proof with this outfit of an explorer of an unknown space that he hopes will be friendly enough to allow him this miracle: to return to Phillip Island on his Ducati, for an Australian Grand Prix which would put him back in the saddle just two months after his fracture of the femur, tibia and fibula. For ordinary people, this would be mission impossible.

But motorcycle riders hardly give up on difficulties and are always ready to rewrite certain pages of medical science. Tito has shown since the days following the operation that he wants to speed up the time and he is working hard to return to the Ducati of the Avintia team before the end of the year.

Rabat has a date in mind and it is the one which corresponds to the Australian Grand Prix which will begin on October 25 at Phillip Island. Given the severity of the injuries, it would almost be a miracle. The Spaniard fully intends to try. Certainly, in Thailand, there will still be Jordi Torres on the Ducati Avintia and probably also at Motegi. But Philipp Island would be the first opportunity to see him on the track again, and if he missed this deadline, it's a safe bet that he would try again at Sepang or during the final in Valencia.
