Do you know the Pont Grup brand? This is an insurance company particularly involved in the motorcycling cause, even supporting the efforts of the official Yamaha team in MotoGP. A mobilization marked by various preventive actions and which was also marked by the drama which played out during free practice for the Moto2 Grand Prix of Catalonia. An event that convinced Bridge Grup to launch a safety assessment on all Spanish routes.

Just that. And we will await with interest the results and, above all, the consequences of these results. Hell is paved with good intentions they say and this is the kind of initiative, from every laudable point of view, which opens Pandora's box.

The fact remains: affected by the death of louis salom on the Montmélo route, insurance specialists decided to evaluate the safety conditions offered to motorcyclists who travel the circuits of the Kingdom of Spain. The results will be published on the web as well as the corrective actions and other solutions that will result from the assessment.

A mass of information which can be exploited and which, in turn, will hold circuit managers and sports authorities organizing competitions accountable. Even if this is not the stated goal, it will inevitably be the collateral consequence. The theme of safety will come back to the forefront and, as such, we will recall that, from Assen, participation in the Grand Prix safety commission could become compulsory for drivers.

Incidentally, Pont Grup defends itself from any morbid opportunity seized after the tragic accident of the SAG pilot. The coat of arms recalls its commitment to the safety of motorcyclists since 2009 and its training and prevention actions developed since 2012. And notably supported by Jorge Lorenzo.
