Pol Espargaró could undergo collarbone surgery. It is his brother Aleix who reveals it.

It seems that the conditions of Pol Espargaro are not as good as hoped. His broken collarbone following his accident during the Warm Up in Brno has not yet recovered, and his brother Aleix revealed the possibility of surgery for the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider.

The youngest of the Espargaró brothers was forced to withdraw from participating in the Czech Republic Grand Prix due to a violent crash on Sunday morning. Initially, things had looked serious as "Polyccio" no longer had feeling in his arms and legs, but everything returned to normal and thorough examinations revealed inflammation of the spinal cord and a fracture of the clavicle.

Unable to participate in the Austrian Grand Prix, just a week after his accident, he hoped to be able to return to Silverstone. “On Monday, it was found that his broken collarbone had not recovered sufficiently” had declared Borja González at Speedweek.com. “That's why the doctors didn't declare him fit to run. In the fractured area there are many inflamed nerves and doctors have advised against surgery. There were still risks for Silverstone, so they preferred to wait. »

Espargaró must therefore be replaced for the British weekend. It is Loris Baz, currently entered in World Superbike, who will ride in his place, but that's not all. Concerning the situation of Pol, his older brother Aleix assured that surgery was not ruled out to fix his injured collarbone.
