The Ducati Pramac rider finished qualifying further than expected after his results in free practice, but will indeed be at the forefront tomorrow.

Disappointment is what reigned in the team Jack Miller at the end of qualifying, after the Australian had taken the checkered flag in seventh position. Favorite for pole, he was finally overtaken at the very end, he who had completely dominated since the start of the weekend.

We know that the Pramac driver is extremely comfortable in the rain and in mixed conditions. No surprise, therefore, to have found him at the top of the first two sessions yesterday. “I'm happy with how we started this morning, and we improved further this afternoon. », he declared then. “We still have to work on some things but we are on the right track and the feeling with the bike is perfect. We haven't had any grip issues yet and we'll try to keep it that way. »

He even missed this morning's FP3, which again took place in complicated conditions, since his place in Q2 was assured. Third during FP4, he could be confident for qualifying.

The strategy adopted by the team was a single exit, but it ultimately did not pay off and he was beaten by six other riders and will not be the best representative of Ducati on the grid since it will be Johann Zarco , who will start from fourth position.

However, nothing catastrophic either: “It wasn't what we were hoping for but starting from the second row is still positive. I went out and on my first lap I had set my time. The track conditions were difficult to manage, but we always had excellent pace throughout the weekend and tomorrow we will try to give the maximum, as always. »

There is no doubt that he will have to be counted on in the race and that he will give the title contenders a hard time, who will have much more to lose than him.

Departure tomorrow at 14 p.m.!
