Franco, this really was as close to a perfect weekend as possible! Tell us about your race…
Franco Morbidelli : " Yes ! Amazing ! Incredible pace. I chose the hard front tire because we weren't sure the medium would last the entire race. So I had to drive a little differently. It was better when braking but a little worse mid-corner and I was a little less comfortable with the wind because I sometimes lost the front. At the end, I also started to suffer with the rear tire and I knew that Jack was going to come back. Finally he came back in the last laps and I said to myself “OK, I'll try everything to win”. I tried everything to win and what followed was a very clean and very sporting fight. It was really good and we overtook each other several times on the last lap. I don't remember how many. In the end I was able to win but Jack was also incredible and the pace he had was impressive. I was very impressed with this race and overall I gave it my all in every lap. In the end we were able to win and I congratulate the team. I also congratulate Jack! Unfortunately we lost the championship but I think we did a very good job. I dedicate this victory to Manolo, a friend of mine whose birthday is today. »
