Maverick Viñales on the Aprilia was the fastest in the only test session valid for direct access to Q2 of the MotoGP class Grand Prix of the Valencian Community, the 20th and final round of MotoGP 2023 scheduled by Ricardo Tormo. The session, however, focused on the duel between Pecco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin, the latter following like a shadow the Piedmontese who is ultimately the one who loses the most.

In fact, he finished 15th and will therefore be forced to go through Q1, where he will find, among others, his teammate Enea Bastianini today 11th, Alex Marquez who finished 12th, the Yamahas of Fabio Quartararo et Franco Morbidelli et Luca marini. As much as his exit from the drafts is not certain.

Martin's "game" was orchestrated to destabilize the reigning champion, who at one point, leaving the pits, gestured to the Spaniard to follow him, an obviously sarcastic gesture since the Spaniard has always been, this Friday, much faster than the Italian in the difficulties from the morning.

From the “Reds” stands, we see tense faces and an expression of the Team Manager Davide Tardozzi which says a lot about the tense air we breathe. Yesterday, bagnaia said he wanted to try to close out the match in Sprint, but at this point he will have to get through the Q1 trap first and then try to make a good qualifying.

Back in the Valencia rankings, behind Viñales who completed a lap in 1'29.142 were four Ducati, in order those of Jorge Martin, Johann Zarco, Fabio di Giannantonio et Marco Bezzecchi. The latter was responsible for a fall, fortunately resolved without consequences. Were also present on the ground Jack Miller, Augusto Fernandez, Luca Marini who finished 17th, Raul Fernández et Pol Espargaro.

Behind Bezzecchi, we find the KTM of Brad Binder, the Honda of the eight-time world champion Marc Marquez, the Aprilia SAT of Raul Fernandez, the KTM of Jack Miller and the Aprilia ofAleix Espargaró. What will this FP2 of the Valencia Grand Prix have in store for us? Before you know it, here is the table that summarizes the facts known so far.
