This Friday, November 12, 2021, Miguel Oliveira answered questions from journalists from the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Cheste (Valencia), at the end of the first day of the Valencian Community Grand Prix.

We went to listen (via teleconference software) to the words of the Portuguese driver, author of the 17th time in combined times this Friday.

As usual, we report here the words of Miguel Oliveira without the slightest formatting.

Miguel, how was your first day in Valencia?

« The conditions were really different between the two free practice sessions. We had some difficulties with the behavior of the bike in corners. Our last run with the soft tire was not good, because I didn't have a good feeling with the bike. No, it wasn't a fantastic Friday, and we'll have to improve tomorrow. »

Everyone seemed a little surprised by the appearance of rain this morning just before FP1. How did this impact your session? Do you always have a plan B in store in case it rains, or do you have to adapt on the go?

« We knew in advance that there was a chance of rain, so we reacted accordingly. We have two motorbikes available, one set up for the rain and the other for the dry. In the end we are all in the same boat. »

Despite these mixed and tricky conditions, did this day still allow you to collect data?

« Only the first turn was tricky, because it was very wet, but the rest of the track was much more passable in the afternoon. »

Is it true that you are using an older version of the KTM chassis, and that it is not the same one that Tech3 uses?

« The four KTMs on track this weekend have the same chassis. »
