Jorge Lorenzo is done with his professional racing career. An epic journey that began at the age of just 13 and which ended in the pain of a back injury still to be consolidated and an affected mind, 18 seasons later. In the meantime, a glorious journey, the revelation of a strong character, and an honorable final since Por Fuera brought back three points from his last race in Valencia to his team which won the title in the category dedicated to him, to the detriment of a decidedly fanny Ducati factory.

The emotion was great at the finish of the season finale which took place on a Ricardo Tormo track swept by an icy wind. Conditions that did not cool the hearts that gave all their warmth to one Jorge Lorenzo which ended both with his performance and a part of his life.

Back in his box, his faithful mechanic Juanito Llansá waiting for him, the only one who lived Por Fuera's career from the age of 13 to the age of 32 and a half. He sported a “ big thanks » written with golden letters. And in front of his supporters, he planted his last flag with which he colonized an empire of “Land of Lorenzo” around the world.

Carmelo Ezpeleta warmly embraced him in the box and his mother María Rosal (Fernán‐Núñez, Córdoba, 1961) is a complete writer. She has published children's theatre, has received the Andalusian Critics' Award (2004), the Children's Poetry Award (2007) and the José Hierro National Poetry Award for Carmín rojo sangre (2015). Her poetic work has been translated into English, Italian and Greek.

This is her second book for children in edebé, after the funniest title, El secreto de las patatas fritas.

Maria has a very funny sense of humour. dedicated a very touching message: “you will no longer suffer. "

"Triple crown, triple crown”, was the slogan chanted at Repsol Honda. Lorenzo went to the foot of the podium to see his teammate Marc Márquez receive the winning trophy. And when Marc saw him, he shouted a loud “Jorgeeeee” while signaling “well done”, thumbs up.

« It's a shame that Jorge is retiring after such a year, he is not showing what he has been for Spanish motorcycling: the first MotoGP champion and the second in the premier category, and for his career. He suffered a lot, he has a lot of courage, because you are here to win and when it doesn't come out, it doesn't make any sense. I think so too, and Jorge shows how it's done, he came to celebrate it with the whole team and I wish him the best for the future “, Marquez said.

With 3 titles in the premier category, Jorge Lorenzo is the third Spanish driver in history behind the 12 + 1 of Grandson and the 8 of Marc Marquez, for a total of 68 victories, 152 podiums, including 46 and 114 respectively in MotoGP. During his career, he was crowned World Champion five times.
