Jack Miller ended an up-and-down season on a positive note in Valencia, and is now focusing on the new Yamaha coming in 2026.
The last weekend, Jack Miller He competed in his last Grand Prix on the Yamaha equipped with an inline four-cylinder engine. He barely had time to adapt to it before the manufacturer made the bold choice to switch to a V4, despite tests that are not yet entirely conclusive.
The Australian rider thus concludes a somewhat disappointing first season aboard the M1. While he managed some impressive performances, such as securing a front-row start in qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix and finishing in the top five in the Austin race, he generally struggled to tame the bike, which proved particularly temperamental this year. Nevertheless, in his final race, he finished in the top ten, securing ninth place after qualifying eighth.
A good way to finish this season, before starting the next one, which already began on Tuesday with the first test. Miller was measured in his comments on the V4and we will obviously have to wait and see where the Yamaha riders will be during the next test, which will take place in early 2026 in Malaysia.
"Now we're going to put this bike away and start working on the new one to see what we can do. It won't be as radical a change as the one I had to make this year, going from the bike I knew to this one.", did he declare.

“The season has been up and down, with good times and bad, but since Australia, we’ve managed to better understand the front end. We may have lost a little bit of pure performance, but we’ve learned a lot about stability and tire management. I understand this bike better and better. Next year’s bike will be different, but its DNA remains the same.”
On the other side of the box, he will now meet Toprak Razgatlioglu and wanted, in closing, to say a word to Miguel Oliveira, who left MotoGP after 14 years in the World Championship, in the three categories.
“I want to acknowledge and thank Miguel, who has just completed his final MotoGP race. He has been a fantastic rider for the sport, and we have shared some great moments because we have been riding together since childhood. It’s sad to see him leave the paddock, but I look forward to following his progress in Superbike. And I am ready to work with Toprak: he is another fantastic rider, and I am eager to see what he can do.”, he added.
