The VR46 will remind in this Sunday's races that this Valencia Grand Prix will go down in history as the very last of Valentino Rossi, as a starting rider in MotoGP. At almost 43 years old and after 26 campaigns, the Doctor finally lets go. But his legacy will live on for a very long time. With this tribute from his beautiful VR46 Riders Academy, we realize it…
On the occasion of the last race of the career of Valentino Rossi in Valencia, the pilots of the VR46 Riders Academy will take to the track in their respective categories with a replica of the Doctor's helmet. The VR46 Riders Academy has 9 riders and each has chosen a historic and iconic livery.
En Moto3 : Andrea Migno wears the helmet used during the 2001 season, Alberto Surra will use the replica of the “Sole Luna” helmet from 2020, while Niccolo Antonelli will use the Laguna Seca helmet in 2005.
En Moto2 : Marco Bezzecchi will take the track with the Sole Luna livery used between 2003 and 2005, Celestine Vietti that of the 2005 winter tests, Stefano manzi instead with that of 1996.
En MotoGP : Francis Bagnaia will take the track with the helmet with which #46 celebrated the 2004 title: “What a spectacle”, Luca marini with that of the 5 Continents of 2008 and Franco Morbidelli with that of “Peace & Love” from 1999…
