The Valencian Community Grand Prix on the Ricardo Tormo Circuit offered us a contrasting first day yesterday, with a wet morning dominated by Iker Lecuona, then a dry afternoon (despite some areas of persistent wetness) which saw the Ducati, Honda and Suzuki riders play the leading roles in a film with twists and turns whose scenario therefore seems largely dependent on the track conditions.

Thus, the reigning world champion fabio quartararo admitted to being “totally lost” last night and therefore did not appear in a top 10 led by Jack Miller, Espargaro Pol, Francis Bagnaia, alex rins et George Martin, While Valentino Rossi, for his 432nd and last Grand Prix, concluded the day's ranking.

This morning, the sky had generally cleared around Valencia and the cards were somewhat redistributed in FP3, Alex Espargaro, Jack Miller, Franco Morbidelli, Francis Bagnaia, George Martin, Joan mir, Takaaki Nakagami, Johann zarco, fabio quartararo et Valentino Rossi ultimately managing to prequalify directly for Qualification 2 in an extremely close session, while Pol Espargaro suffered a violent fall at turn #13 which saw him leave on a stretcher.

When Qualification 1, alex rins et Brad Binder have been drafted and it is therefore these 12 drivers who will now battle it out to determine the composition of the first four rows of the starting grid for a race which will be contested over 27 laps tomorrow at 14 p.m.

The sun is out, the track is dry, temperatures are 20° in the air and 25° on the ground, and we will know the poleman in 15 minutes!

When the red lights go out... Alex Espargaro rushes first in front Franco Morbidelli. Even in such a short session, fabio quartararo lets everyone go before getting into his M1.

All drivers chose the hard tire at the front, except Jack Miller who opted for a medium, while at the rear the softs are out with the exception ofAlex Rins who rides with a medium.

From the outset, Valentino Rossi takes the wheel of Francis Bagnaia but cannot keep up with the pace of his disciple.

Jack Miller enters the first reference in 130479 in front Franco Morbidelli et Fabio Quartararo at the end of the first flying round.

On the next pass, the Ducati rider is 1'30.325 ahead of his teammate.

Strictly equal time with the Australian, Jorge Martin comes between the two official riders of Borgo Panigale, thus offering Ducati a triple for the provisional moment!

By the time everyone returns to put a new tire on the back, the hierarchy is made up of Jack Miller, Jorge Martin, Francesco Bagnaia, Joan Mir, Alex Rins, Fabio Quartararo, Takaaki Nakagami, Franco Morbidelli, Johann Zarco, Aleix Espargaro, Valentino Rossi and Brad Binder.

On resumption, Francis Bagnaia offers a second chance to Valentino Rossi... but if the student then takes the lead in 1'30.138, the master must be content with the seventh time.

Francis Bagnaia ended up falling 1'30 from the end of the session in turn #2, which resulted in a yellow flag which escaped George Martin who finally won in 1'29.936.

In extremis, Jack Miller also falls, this time in turn #11.

The Ducati hat-trick is retained, with even an addition provided by Johann zarco in fifth position.
