MotoGP Valentino Rossi admits: “I’m not ready to retire”

Valentino Rossi has announced that he will end his career as a regular driver in Austria with some peace of mind. Valencia will therefore be last, but as the end of the game approaches, anxiety is growing. A fear of the void of what will be next, ultimately mentally not so prepared...

Valentino Rossi still has three Grands Prix to do before putting on his suit and storing his helmet in the bag. The sequel will not be the checkered cap since the Doctor swears that we will very soon see him behind a steering wheel to compete. But there will no longer be any question of motorcycles. A machine which is his whole life and which has shaped his existence.

The finale will take place at Valencia. Does the future retiree feel the relief of a busy career allowing him to legitimately claim his pension rights? Not really. He explains : " When I announced my retirement in Austria, I was not particularly influenced by my words. But now it's different, I realized that my life is about to change. I've been reading messages inviting me to retire for fifteen years, but they've never interested me. In Valencia it will be more difficult because from this moment my life will change, I will stop being a MotoGP rider ».

There will therefore be great emotion and if the Doctor does not know what to expect, he still has hope: “ goodbyes won't be easy, but I think it can still be a good time, despite everything ". What awaits him is also fatherhood, which will undoubtedly be another source of anxiety...
