While the regular Ducati riders were packing their bags in Qatar to join Europe which will unfold the rest of the calendar, the test man for the brand Michele Pirro was hard at work in Mugello. The manufacturer is thus preparing its GP21 for a national meeting which could not be honored last year due to the health crisis. The last edition in 2019 was won by a red motorcycle from Borgo Panigale. But this was also the case during the last visit to Qatar the same year…
Ducati returns from the double meeting Qatar by presenting one of its pilots, in this case Johann zarco, as provisional leader of ranking general of the world championship. Not bad, but given the configuration of the Losail track, it was at least a victory that we expected at Borgo Panigale. A consecration that Yamaha blew away the Italians so much during the Qatar Grand Prix that at the end of that of Doha.
The series of Dovizioso started in 2018 and continued in 2019 has therefore stopped. The last winner of the Italian Grand Prix also goes back to this last year and it was with Danilo Petrucci. There will be no question of suffering a new snub so the brand has sent Michele Pirro perfect the development of the GP21 on this national soil which will welcome the MotoGP on May 30. The test driver was so pleased with it that he even made a short video of it.
We will recall that, on the test side, we await with interest that ofAndrea Dovizioso on the Aprilia from the April 12 in Jerez. Honda and KTM will also be there with their respective testers.
