Pol Espargaro

Pol Espargaró gives us his news via his social network and the satisfaction comes from the fact that it is not given through a text, but through a speech broadcast on video. Which means his jaw is slowly but surely recovering. It's already that. That being said, it will still take time for him to find this RC16 that Jack Miller and Brad Binder have been using so well lately...

The major news is that Pol Espargaro seems to have passed the complicated and painful course of this fractured jaw which prevented him from speaking or eating properly for more than a month, while several other fractures are now fortunately also on the mend. Here is his message which reassures and delights everyone: " Hello everyone ! I'm finally back on social media. It's been a month and a week since the accident and I can talk a little. I broke my jaw in two places, and I had to keep it completely closed for four weeks after the accident. I couldn't eat properly and I lost a lot of weight.9 kilos, but finally I can smile and I can talk pretty well, that's why I'm making this post », began the Spaniard seriously injured during the first Grand Prix of the year at Portimao.

He adds : " In addition, I had an ear injury who was operated on after the accident, I had eight fractures in my body, two in my ribs, one in my neck, three in my back which I think takes a little longer because the fractures in my back are the ones that the doctors are still checking a little in depth ».

Pol Espargaro: “ with the vertebrae you have to be very careful because it is very easy to injure your spinal cord »

« So you know what happens when you play with these kinds of injuries, with the vertebrae you have to be very careful because it is very easy to injure your spinal cord, so we are working hand in hand with the doctors to come back as soon as possible, but first of all I have to come back healthy, but I am the first to want to jump on the bike. Especially after the results in Jerez, the factory is working a lot and the bike is a rocket at the moment so I'm looking forward to it » underlines the pilot Tech3 GASGAS.

« I just wanted to thank you for all the messages you have sent me throughout this time, this has been so important in keeping me motivated to come back as soon as possible and jump on my motorcycle. Thanks to my team and all the people who are with me when I race because they sent me messages almost every day and that's great from the GASGAS and the KTM guys ».

He finishes : " I don't know when I'll get back on the bike honestly, I just wanted to update you a little more often than the last month and a half, so yes, thank you for all the messages, I love you so much ". There is still a long way to go Pol Espargaro to put his GASGAS suit back on. We understood that there was still a doubt to be resolved regarding his three back fractures... We will recall that this is Jonas Folger which currently replaces the Spaniard, while Dani Pedrosa showed in Jerez that he has the talent to do much better. But the “Titanium” chooses its battles in MotoGP.
