It must be said that his season has not been a smooth ride, far from it. Between the difficulties encountered by Yamaha, the doubts which entered the Spaniard's mind, the disillusions and disappointments, 2018 will certainly have been one of his worst years. Fortunately, there were his four podiums to boost his morale, and especially his victory in Australia which was a real relief. But these moments will hardly erase all the negative of this season...
However, Maverick Viñales wants to stay positive and move forward: “2018 was a difficult year, with ups and downs and I felt like giving up, both in my personal life and in my professional life. But despite everything I am proud of the life lessons I learned, of the moments when I felt weak and I had to be strong, of the moments when I felt very alone and when I was able to count on the people I love the most, moments to learn what would have been impossible in the past, moments that I will never forget and that will make me grow as a person.
