Maverick Viñales has regained enthusiasm and desire to communicate since he took his first laps on what is now his new mount, the Aprilia RS-GP. He already loves his new team, he says he is more than an accomplice with Aleix Espargaró who will therefore be more than a teammate, and he is happy to start from a blank page by drawing a line under the past. The latter is, however, very recent, and the Spaniard remembers the one with whom he shared the Yamaha box a few weeks ago: Fabio Quartararo.
Since he is an official Aprilia rider, Maverick Vinales is speaking again and he has reserved one of his speeches for the site The Sports Gazette. During the latter, he returned to the troubled period when he was moving between two waters. Yamaha had just informed him of his agreement for the conventional termination and he had entered his final approach phase to land at Aprilia. In the meantime, comments from his fellow pilots on his fate came from all sides, with the dominant feelings being those of regret for the situation and encouragement to bounce back.
An empathy which was less obvious to detect in the assessment of the situation by fabio quartararo who, when asked at Silverstone whether he would regret Casa Particular in Viñales in his box Yamaha replied : " It’s something I don’t worry about much. I'm focused on my work, and therefore it's something that doesn't really affect me. I'm not sad, and I'm just having fun. It's an individual sport, and I have a new teammate this weekend. No, I can't say I'm sad about it »
An overall pragmatic position which nevertheless attracted the attention of Casa Particular in Viñales : " I didn't expect that from Fabio, because we have always had a very good relationship. But maybe it's because he's having a great championship and he's focused on himself ».
Viñales also talks about Rossi
Casa Particular in Viñales also spoke about another of his teammates: Rossi : “ Valentino… the truth is that I have always had a good relationship with him. We went through some very difficult times, but we were always side by side. It was difficult to be his partner in terms of image and fans. But the whole relationship, in the stands and out, was wonderful ».
The Spaniard ends with precision on what guides not only his career, but his life: “ money is not important in life, what is important is to feel happy, fulfilled. It was fundamental for me ».
