The Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team, currently one of Ducati's satellite teams in MotoGP, could well see its role evolve significantly. While Prima Pramac currently receives the highest support and latest releases of the motorcycles, this situation may change soon. The team led by Paolo Campinoti could turn to Yamaha, thus leaving the place of privileged partner of Ducati to VR46.

Uccio Salucci, team director VR46, confirmed this potential transition to La Gazzetta dello Sport, explaining that the new contract could redefine their partnership by 2027. " The draft agreement talks about two bikes for next year, then becoming the reference team from 2027" , did he declare. However, Salucci clarified that nothing was yet set in stone and that several aspects still needed to be studied: “ it is now a matter of seeing the new scenarios, which will take time."

If Ducati upgrades the VR46, it will be good for Bezzecchi but worrying for Di Giannantonio

Si Prima Pramac ends its association with Ducati after 2024, VR46 could benefit from this change as early as next year. This would be excellent news for Marco Bezzecchi, who finished third in the championship last year, and could also open the door for the arrival of the young rookie Fermin Aldeguer. However, Fabio Di Giannantonio, who has shown good performances, could complicate the team's choices regarding its future composition.

With this possible reorganization, VR46 could not only strengthen its position as a satellite team, but also assert itself as a major player in MotoGP. This transition promises to energize the championship and redistribute the cards among the teams and drivers, thus bringing new dynamics for the seasons to come.
