The mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, who tested positive for Covid-19, declared to Nice Matin that he was taking chloroquine for treatment, without waiting for procrastination from the various political and health authorities.

The right-wing elected official also said he tried to contact the Minister of Health to ask that the pharmacies and the Nice University Hospital be restocked with chloroquine, and ended up calling the boss of the Sanofi laboratory. He congratulated himself in a tweet on having obtained satisfaction.
“I realized that our pharmacies were lacking some of these medications, and that our university hospital was low on supply. I tried to contact the Minister of Health several times. It is a disappointment for the mayor of the fifth largest city in France to have had no one in line. I expressly ask him to supply our city, knowing that Sanofi has announced that it has just produced 300 copies of a drug supposed to avoid side effects compared to chloroquine. I spoke on the phone with the president of Sanofi who has made industrial arrangements for the production of this drug. He contacted the general director of our university hospital so that it could be supplied as quickly as possible. »
