Lynn Jarvis

In this championship, everything is still mathematically playable for Yamaha, and in particular with Fabio Quartararo, second to Joan Mir 37 points away while 50 are still at stake. But we nevertheless seem resigned. The general in chief Lin Jarvis is already going there with his end-of-game verse, with his gaze stretched towards 2021. A cruel disappointment for a brand which has six victories until this Sunday, but which was stripped of its points in due to very hazardous management of an engine problem linked to the valves…

This is a situation so astonishing that it is disturbing. While, at Yamaha , we should be driven by the energy of despair, by the panache of the last charge, we seem to keep the weapon at the ready while waiting for the final whistle when we will have to pay the honors to Joan mir and Suzuki.

Because, all the same, at the moment when we should galvanize troops shaken by the sluggishness of an M1 which has also suffered the agonies of regulatory sanction, we note a speech exuding the desire to put an end to it and to move on. In this sense, the leader on the ground Lynn Jarvis disappoints.

He says thus, noting a Quarterly haggard, stunned by the first two more than disappointing free practice sessions of this Valencia Grand Prix: “ Quartararo is now experiencing a moment of disappointment, of frustration, after a very strong start, but all this is part of life, Fabio needs to get through this period. I am convinced that he can overcome these difficulties, especially with a view to 2021. He has all the skills to do better ».

“This has already happened in the past and we have not yet found the right solutions”

So is it so serious? The continuation of the same Jarvis seems to dismantle it: “ we don't need a cultural revolution for 2021. We won 6 races, we worked well even if at the same time we made major mistakes. I don't want to talk about valves anymore, but from the first race we were in difficulty especially with the engines. The problem is that there are circuits and races where we are very fast, when everything is going well we are very fast, but when there is no grip we find ourselves in difficulty, it is already happened in the past and we have not yet found the right solutions ».

However, since these weaknesses have been obvious... Who is this wolf that Yamaha still can't find out? Lynn Jarvis finished : " again this year we changed bikes: we have 2 different ones, 3 riders have factory specifications and Morbidelli has a bike with a different engine. We need to spend more time with this new model and clarify if this engine has more potential ". During this time, Suzuki go for it, and with only two motorbikes…
