In 2018 we interviewed several pilots who told us about their qualities and faults. How do they think they are on track? What do they still need to work on? Here are their answers.

Throughout the 2018 season we had riders answer the “Proust Moto Questionnaire”, a series of questions inspired by those asked by the writer Marcel Proust in his famous questionnaire which aimed to get to know them better. Now that the year is over, it is very instructive to cross-reference their answers to see which pilots have similarities in their driving and which are, on the contrary, very different.

On the very basis of their way of being on the track, each mentioned their main character trait, and some turned out to be quite similar. Indeed, Franco Morbidelli considered that " tranquility " was the term that best described it, and Francis Bagnaia thought “know how to be calm. » Conversely, the French Johann zarco et fabio quartararo qualified respectively as “incisive” and “angry”. Aggression is also a point that was mentioned Joan mir who explained: “I think I can be both refined in my driving and aggressive when necessary. » For its part, Alex Rins rather think of being mainly " clever " on track.

Concerning their main fault, once again several come together. zarco consider that “his relaxation” is both a quality and a defect, the same for Morbidely who told us: “I’m too quiet. » On the other hand, it is quite the opposite for Kidneys which explains : " Sometimes I need to contain myself a little ". The same applies to Quarterly who recognizes “get angry easily” et bagnaia who is “nervous from time to time. » However, Mir focuses more on track conditions: “I think I can still improve in the wet. This is something I still struggle with. »
