For the moment, only two events registered on our general 2022 competition calendar took place. And both were won by teams owned and led by women! A unique fact which deserves to be underlined and which challenges many preconceived ideas…

Sunday March 6, 2022, when Enea Bastianini crosses the finish line of the Qatar MotoGP Grand Prix as a winner, he not only scores his first victory in the premier class, but also the first victory in MotoGP for a team owned and managed by a woman, Nadia Padovani, the wife of the late Fausto Gresini. The emotion is there and tears flow on the podium.

« I hope to be an example for women who want to reach the top of their careers and for those who have suffered a significant loss and have not given up » declared the mother of four, devastated by grief, as she took over the reins of the Italian team. It didn't take long for this to happen... Hats off, Madam!

“As Enea was going to win the race I thought of everything we had accomplished in recent months and of Fausto: we did everything for him and everything happened in his name, putting our heart and our commitment in this project, but also by mixing the pain felt and the suffering endured by all of us, as a family and as a team. He would be proud of us and also amazed at what we have achieved because I don't think he would have ever expected it. »

Saturday March 12, 2022, when Brandon Pasch goes to aspiration the Yamaha of Cameron Petersen on the Daytona International Speedway oval to win the Daytona 7 by 200 thousandths, he not only scored his second extraordinary victory in two years on banking, but also the 4th for the TOBC team, now managed by Michelle Lindsay. Here again, the story is the result of a tragedy, in this case the death of the founder of the team, Jon Couch, in the accident of the vintage military plane he was piloting at Virginia International Raceway in September 2014. But despite the pain, his fiancée Michelle Lindsay did not give up. To continue her companion's work, she bought the team and all the equipment before winning the Daytona 200 in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022, an unrivaled record, all despite a serious cancer diagnosed in 2019! Hats off, Madam!

Michelle Lindsay : “After the 2018 season, I wasn't sure we would be back on the top step of the podium. Winning the Daytona 200 in our first race with Triumph was more than I could have asked for. »

In fact, words seem insufficient to describe these extraordinary women who work successfully in a very masculine environment and give us life lessons today. With the greatest respect, we simply wish them the best for the rest of their action and their career!
