Once again, the French Motorcycling Federation has just won a legal battle.

Following the appeal initiated by the FFM, the Board of state just canceled the decree of April 2, 2019 taken in application of article R331-24-1 of the Sports Code. It required organizers of events on grounds closed to public traffic, in addition to completing a form on environmental impacts, to systematically provide a Natura 2000 assessment.

The judges ruled that this assessment was illegal for events that did not significantly affect a natural site.

The FFM welcomes this decision which avoids additional administrative burden for the organizers.

It also reaffirms its determination to assert the rights of its Motorcycle Clubs before the courts whenever necessary.
