Loris Baz and the Avintia Racing team extend their collaboration for the 2017 season.
For his third season in the premier category, the Frenchman will ride a Ducati GP15 and will once again team up with Hector Barbera.
From now on, Loris can concentrate exclusively on the second half of the season during which he hopes to be able to fully express his potential.
“I’m obviously happy!” I'm really happy that the team is giving me a second chance, especially after this difficult start to the season. I don't think there are many teams that would have done it and believed in me after those really tricky first nine races. However, the entire team knows the results I have achieved and knows what I am capable of doing. I showed that I was capable of being as fast, or even faster than Hector, and there is no reason why this dynamic cannot return soon. Giving myself this second chance so early in the season takes that pressure off me. Now I can concentrate on finding pleasure on the bike again. I am certain that this will come back and it allows me to work peacefully. I will be riding a Ducati GP15 which is a very competitive bike. It will be enough to find the instructions so that it best suits me to express my potential. »
