Decision of the Grand Prix Commission

The Grand Prix Commission, composed of gentlemen Carmelo Ezpeleta (Dorna, the President), Paul Duparc (FIM), Herve Poncharal (IRTA) and Takanao Tsubouchi (MSMA) in the presence of Carlos Ezpeleta (Dorna) and Mike Trimby (IRTA, the Secretary of the meeting), held an electronic meeting on January 23, 2017, and took the following decision:

Official ECU for the Moto2 category

On October 18, 2016, Dorna launched a tender for the supply of the official Moto2 ECU for three seasons, 2019-2021. At the closing date, expressions of interest were received from five companies.
After examining the offers, Dorna has decided to propose the appointment of Magneti Marelli as official supplier for 2019-2021.
The proposal was unanimously approved by the Grand Prix Commission.
