The Kazakh rider will make his debut in the Moto3™ World Championship in 2018 aboard a KTM.

Born on 29/07/1998, Makar Yurchenko will join the ranks of the French CIP Moto3 team in 2018 on KTM. This announcement is made a few days after the sixth stage of the Junior Moto3™ World Championship calendar in Jerez during which the Kazakh claimed his second podium of the season by finishing third in the second race.

Yurchenko made her international debut during the 2014 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup while playing in Spain. With a second place as his best result this year, Yurchenko is now ninth in the general classification.

Alain Bronec :  “We are very pleased to be able to announce the arrival of Makar Yurchenko, a young Kazakh, within the IPC for the 2018 Moto3™ World Championship season. As evidenced by his podium finish last weekend in Jerez, Makar, who rides a KTM, is among the main protagonists of the Junior Moto3™ World Championship, a competitive category which has revealed many talents. The CIP is used to welcoming young aspiring drivers and we will do everything we can to ensure that Makar gets his bearings as quickly as possible. We are already looking forward to writing this page in the history of the CIP alongside KTM with whom, I hope, we will be able to shine thanks to Makar. Our goal has always been to allow a new generation to take their first steps at world level and we are convinced that we will have a great adventure next season. »

Today, Makar Yurchenko was able to visit the CIP Moto3 team facilities located in the Pôle Mécanique in Alès, as well as discovering new sensations on the rally track…
