Drama in the Moto2 paddock. Suter's return to the starting grid of the intermediate category of the Grands Prix will have been short-lived. This season, the Swiss chassis was in two teams composed of Kiefer and Intact GP. For 2018, only the latter had assured of its loyalty while the Forward team was interested but on the condition of being able to put MV Agusta on the fairings. A dilemma which no longer exists since Suter announces the end of the adventure.

In 2018, there will be no Suter in the Moto2 Grands Prix. Close the ban.

At Intact we would have already turned to Kalex for its drivers Xavi Virgo et Marcel schrotter. For the diversity of the field, there remains KTM, Tech3, Speed Up and the newcomer NTS. Suter won the title in the discipline in 2012 with Marc Márquez. This year, he thought he had returned to victory thanks to a agitated crossing the finish line at Misano first… Before experiencing the horrors of technical disqualification…

It is with the following press release that Suter has, against all expectations, formalized its withdrawal with immediate effect from the Moto2 category of Grands Prix.

Suter Industries withdraws from the Moto2 World Championship

Suter Industries AG, a high-tech engineering company based in Turbenthal, Switzerland, is withdrawing from the Moto2 Motorcycle World Championship with immediate effect. Since the Kiefer Racing team opted not to compete with Suter motorcycles for the 2018 season, only the two machines for the Dynavolt Intact Racing team would have been delivered.

“From a strategic point of view, this does not further justify our participation in the Moto2 WC world championship”, explains the owner and founder of Suter Industries, Eskil Suter.

Nevertheless, Suter Industries will continue to operate in the racing world. The team of 40 experienced specialists will increasingly focus on the development of its own motorcycles, such as the Suter 500 2-stroke racing motorcycle and other high-quality motorcycle products for its customers. Suter also intends to further intensify the successful cooperation with the American motorcycle manufacturer Arch Motorcycle.
Suter Industries would like to thank the Dynavolt Intact team for the professional and close cooperation during the last season, and wish them all the best for the next racing season.
