« We continue to enjoy MotorLand… but today in motocross ". This is how Marc Marquez described one of his main activities of this post-Grand Prix day, the day after he took the solo lead of the World Championship with 16 points ahead of his main rival. Andrea Dovizioso.
We can't help but smile slightly and find a certain irony in Marc's words. He had a magnificent race in Aragon, full of mastery and talent as he is used to.
The only negative thing for him at the end of Sunday was the general admiration for the incredible feat of Valentino Rossi, with his recently fractured right tibia and fibula.
It is possible that Marquez had a slight pang of jealousy at the laudatory media treatment his great rival received. From there to the fact that he wanted, consciously or not, to show everyone that he could do motocross AND win Grands Prix, there is a step that we will not take, but we will nevertheless have a small smile at the corners of his lips.
