Tony Arbolino et Sam Lowes, the two Elf Marc VDS Racing Team Moto2 riders, took part in a special parade as part of the historic and iconic Crowdstrike 24 Hours of Spa endurance event this weekend.

Tony Arbolino, contender for the title of Moto2 world champion, and Sam Lowes, multiple Grand Prix winners, wore the famous Marc VDS livery during the exhibition during which they rode replicas of Moto2 machines, a special gift for fans of the Crowdstrike 24 Hours of Spa.

Tony Arbolino et Sam Lowes are present on the legendary Belgian track as a sign of support for the Boutsen VDS team, which is jointly owned by Marc Van Der Straten, motorsport enthusiast, who was behind the creation of the Marc VDS Moto2 team in 2010, and Thierry Boutsen, the former Belgian F1 driver.

Fans will have the opportunity to approach Tony Arbolino et Sam Lowes during the weekend, as the Elf Marc VDS Racing team will welcome supporters in a stand located in the Spa paddock. The Italian and Brit's machines will be on display and fans will be able to join Tony and Sam for photo and autograph sessions.

The Boutsen VDS Team is an ambitious new project managed by two experienced teams – Marc VDS Racing Team and Boutsen Racing Team. The collaboration began in 2022 and this season the team is aiming for success in the GT World Challenge Europe (GTWCE) and the Lamborghini Super Trofeo.
The team participates in the endurance and sprint competitions with two Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo IIs (one in the Gold category and one in the Silver category) with drivers Alberto Di Folco (ITA), Adam Eteki (FRA), Thomas Laurent ( FRA), Aurélien Panis (FRA), Loris Cabirou (FRA), Andrea Cola (ITA), César Gazeau (FRA) and Roee Meyuhas (ISR).

In the Lamborghini Super Trofeo, the Boutsen-VDS team is entered with two cars in the AM category, with Pierre Feligioni, Renaud Kuppens, Karim Ojjeh and Elie Dubelly at the wheel. They are also entered in the PRO category with Thomas Laurent and Adam Eteki as drivers.

Marc van der Straten, team owner: “ It's no secret that gasoline runs through my veins. Motorsport is my great passion and a family tradition. It all started with cars, then came motorcycles and now I can enjoy two and four wheels at the same time. So, having the opportunity for my two teams to share the stage at Spa-Francorchamps is a great pride and pleasure. It will certainly be an unforgettable experience that we encourage all our fans to take part in. »

Cherry on the cake, Marc van der Straten met this weekend with an old acquaintance from the Grand Prix paddock in the person of a certain Valentino Rossi…
