Andrea Dovizioso has never hidden his passion for motocross and, after retiring from world MotoGP competitions during the season, he has already participated in several motocross events, with more or less twists and turns...

In this area, one of his ambitious projects was carried out and made official: His company RPM won the call for tenders for the twenty-year management of the track which will now be called 04 Park – Monte Coralli di Faenza.

A facility that will be completely renovated thanks also to funds from the PNRR “Sport and Inclusion – Cluster3” which, thanks to the Italian Motorcycling Federation, which chose the project of the Municipality of Faenza, have been allocated precisely to the aforementioned cross track which, in the past, has been the scene of numerous World Cross Championship events.

The overall project includes a major expansion of sports facilities and related hospitality services, as well as a new track with high quality standards for riders of all levels. Characteristics that will also be crucial for the programs of the future FMI Federal Technical Center dedicated to off-road racing, which, thanks to a memorandum of understanding signed with the Municipality of Faenza, will also see the Italian Motorcycling Federation being the protagonist.

The spaces inside Park 04 – Monte Coralli dedicated to the future FMI Center will include an office, a didactic classroom for various uses and a motorcycle shelter which will be used for the training of pilots and technicians, dedicated to collegial meetings of the Talenti Azzurri and the numerous educational projects of the FMI, which also collaborates with educational institutions.

The project ofAndrea Dovizioso and the Municipality of Faenza is to create a multifunctional area to offer services to the community, not just for sport, taking advantage of its strategic position in the heart of the Motor Valley. The start of work is planned for the beginning of 2023.

After being 125cc world champion in 2004 and a great protagonist of MotoGP in recent years, “Dovi” has finally achieved what was one of his dreams.

Andrea Dovizioso : " It's a dream that I've had for years. And when you have the chance to realize a dream like this, on a track like Monte Coralli, which has always been a point of reference for me (in addition to being close to home), it really seems that all the pieces to complete this desire fit together perfectly. 04 Park – Monte Coralli is a grandiose place, very large and in which we want to carry out important projects. I would like it to become a place where off-road enthusiasts and others can meet, interact and share experiences while having fun. We will organize events and races. People can come there to ride or simply to spend a different day, in an environment made of and with passion. 04 Park – Monte Coralli is an ambitious project, a terrain in which off-road, mini cross and pump track will coexist and evolve together at the highest level, in a “full gas” atmosphere »

John Copioli, president of the IGF: “ I am very happy with the formalization of this ambitious project which involves us alongside the municipality of Faenza and a great champion like Andrea Dovizioso. We believed from the start in this idea which, I am sure, will bring visibility, energy and services to the entire territory. Our Federal Technical Center will be dedicated to off-road racing and will give us the opportunity to extend the excellent work we are doing with the Misano Technical Center dedicated to speed. The passion and professionalism of Andrea Dovizioso are the best guarantee that this important project will turn into a real success. I would obviously like to thank Andrea and the municipality of Faenza for the commitment and enthusiasm that we share and which will allow us to be the protagonists from the imminent start of the works. »

Massimo Isola, mayor of Faenza: “ We are happy and proud to have obtained a PNRR project which, from the start, was very competitive. The proposal presented for the 04 Park – Monte Coralli circuit was innovative and of great value and will certainly have a significant impact on the territory. Collaborating with a great champion like Andrea Dovizioso will be a great challenge and we are particularly proud to achieve this part of the road with him. I am convinced that we will succeed in building a project that will have an impact on the sports, tourism and economic systems of our territory. What we are proposing with the Italian Motorcycling Federation, which has been with us from the beginning, will have civic value with the involvement of new generations, without forgetting the importance of the circuit within Motor Valley. The park that will be created will significantly strengthen our identity linked to speed and to Romagna as a land of motors, and I am convinced that in the territorial system that includes the Imola circuit, the motorsport teams of Faenza, the circuit 04 Park – Monte Coralli, with the management of Andrea Dovizioso, will be a decisive link in this scenario. »
