No introduction Mick doohan, five-time world champion on his 500 Honda between 1994 and 1998, but we can present his son Jack, Alpine F1 Team reserve driver, who will welcome his father next weekend during the Australian Formula 1 Grand for a demonstration which promises to be moving.

The two locals, for the first time together on the track, will travel the circuit traced in Albert Park, each at the controls of a vehicle close to their usual “tool”. For Jacks, 21 years old, it will be a 1 Formula 200 Benetton B2000, designed and manufactured at Alpine's current Formula 1 headquarters in Enstone. For Mick, 58 years old, who has the total admiration of Marc Marquez, we are almost promised a MotoGP, necessarily a Honda RC213V, even if we strongly assume that it will in fact be an RC213V-S, the derived road version.

Concretely, it is not one but three demonstrations of around twenty minutes each which are planned, two on Saturday and one on Sunday. At a time when there is more and more talk of a possible rapprochement between the worlds of MotoGP and F1, with even the hope of an ambitious project of a double Grand Prix on the same circuit during a unique weekend, this kind of demonstration does not seem to contradict the trend…

“I’m very excited to be on track with my dad at Albert Park during the Australian Grand Prix weekend”, said Jacks. “It's actually the first time we've shared a track together, me in the car and him on the bike, so it's going to be an incredibly special moment. It's a great opportunity to celebrate his success in front of the Australian fans. And for me, it's a unique opportunity to drive a Formula 1 car on such an iconic circuit. I hope next year it will be for real! This is my goal and I am working hard to achieve my ultimate dream.”

“First of all, thank you to the Australian Grand Prix Corporation and Formula 1 for this incredible opportunity”, added Mick. “Any time I get to jump on a motorcycle at these types of events, it’s always a real pleasure. It's been 30 years since I won my first world title in 1994. Time flies so quickly, and now I'm going to be on the track with my son, which will be a really special moment for both of us. I continue to support Jack and help him in his efforts to achieve the goal of racing in Formula 1. We are both very much looking forward to putting on a show in front of our fans in Melbourne during the Grand Prix weekend at the 'Albert Park. »
