Ahead of the on-track action at the iconic Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Francis Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) and Luigi Dall'Igna, Managing Director of Ducati Corse, had the opportunity to meet some icons of a different discipline: Emirates Team New Zealand, aka the current holders of the America's Cup.

Francis Bagnaia et Luigi Dall'Igna visited the New Zealand team's base in Barcelona Harbor and met some of the key figures behind the team's incredible success, including CEO Grant Dalton and 2021 winning skipper and coxswain, Peter Burling . They were joined at the base by the CEO of Dorna, Carmelo Ezpeleta, the Catalan Minister of Business and Labor, Roger Torrent, and the CEO of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Oriol Sagrera,… then it was time to take the sea !

Francis Bagnaia et Luigi Dall'Igna set off with the team in an AC40 boat, experiencing a different kind of adrenaline before returning to their base for the weekend on one of Europe's most iconic circuits. MotoGP™ promises the same excellence and elegance as in the America's Cup, but with a little more power... so don't miss the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya this weekend!

Francis Bagnaia: "I've seen a lot, this is a completely different story!" It's amazing how fast they can go, they fly on the water, and I felt like everything was so clean... I did a few tacks, and I felt how clean it was. It was important to find the right angle with the wind. It's incredible ! »
