While the entire MotoGP paddock was holed up in the boxes waiting for the Indonesian Grand Prix to take place, she came out of nowhere and sat on the wet track of the Mandalika circuit...

Bare feet on the asphalt, Rara Istiati Wulandari faced lightning and torrential rain for the necessary time, without concern for anyone, with just his mortar, pestle and incense sticks. Present on the circuit for several days, she launched her incantations to the sky for more than an hour, walking or sitting on the track, without worrying about the cameras, the mocking laughter and the pouring rain.

His gestures were not graceful and his cries were not friendly, as they commanded the heavens to stop raining. Fabio Quartararo he himself tried it, but he quickly realized that it was not Shaman who wanted… 🙂

Initially mocked by some of the viewers, she was finally able to seduce the entire planet when the weather finally calmed down and the race could take place.

For that alone, we love her (even if, outside the circuit and off camera, she also burned tires and threw salt in the thick smoke, which provoked the intervention of the security forces local)!

Her name is RaRA, she calls herself “Rain Shaman” and she now even has her portraits on social networks.

In fact, Rara Istiati Wulandari is a Papuan woman born on October 22, 1983. Although she was born in Papua, Rara also has Javanese blood and now lives in Bali. She has long studied the science of being a "rain manager", even since she was very young. She was thus able to officiate at major events such as the opening event of the 2018 Asian Games to the Indonesian presidential inauguration in 2019. In Mandalika, it was the Minister of SOE, Erick Thohir, who recommended to regulate the weather. We hope to see her again next year…
