For several years, Jorge Lorenzo has resided in Switzerland, in Lugano, the Italian part of the Swiss Confederation. He gave a long interview to Corriere del Ticino, in which he addresses a certain number of subjects with his usual frankness.

We have selected two, the first illustrating without sparing the end of his brilliant career in MotoGP, the second his future.

Five times world champion, the man from Palma de Mallorca left his mark on MotoGP with his rapid rise and his takeover of power inside the Yamaha box over the absolute star of the time, Valentino Rossi. However, a few years later, the end of his career was much less glorious, struggling with Ducati for a year and a half before winning three victories once his future was blocked with Borgo Panigale, scoring 28 points the following season with Honda against 420 for his teammate, then opting for a very lean season as a test rider for Yamaha in 2020.

The one who has long been nicknamed Por Fuera explains: « Nous avons très bien commencé à Sepang. »

As for his future, Jorge Lorenzo considers it between the management of its assets and… Motor racing.

“If I have to tell you one of my greatest interests, today I say economic management. I study a lot, I'm interested in the stock market, cryptocurrencies, risk management: It's a very difficult world where I have a lot to learn. I have become very conservative, I like to diversify, because in the end it is important in all areas of life. You don't have to put all your eggs in one basket. »

“These days I'm considering the possibility of car racing. »

If that happens, it would be funny if he found himself in the same races as a certain Valentino Rossi...
On social media, number 99 said: “the future only promises one thing, surprises!” »
In the meantime, the five-time champion will be at EICMA in Milan on November 26 to present a scooter.
