He is often taciturn and sometimes angry, but that is the price to pay for his concentration and his total involvement in this passion which he has made his profession.
And Maverick Vinales also has a big heart! At least that's what the Spanish press tells us by informing us that the Yamaha rider has covered the entire financial cost of a new orthopedic leg that a young man in his village needed. That’s still the sum of €81.
The story is beautiful and therefore deserves to be told: a 23-year-old young man from Roses, near Figueras in Spain, where Maverick Vinales lives, has been fighting for 2 years against cancer which has already taken his leg. Touched by this daily fight, Maverick Vinales financed the 81 euros that Oscar Fernandez's new orthopedic leg cost, after an appeal made by the latter on social networks which had already raised more than 000 euros thanks to several residents of Roses.
A gesture which obviously provoked the emotion of the person concerned, according to a video published on his Facebook account: “One person had the great care to pay for an orthopedic leg for me, the entire cost. I'm so happy... I didn't expect it at all. This is Maverick Vinales. He had the big heart, so to speak, to pay me the entire amount, 81 euros. He and his representative were very nice. There are no words to thank him, I feel like I have a normal leg and I can walk.”
