The ex-Grand Prix driver turned mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, did not do things by halves to celebrate the world title of fabio quartararo in MotoGP.

Even though he is now fully involved in politics, Estrosi knows what he's talking about when he talks about the Grands Prix. The man participated sporadically from 1976 to 1983, certainly without great success, but he still fought against names like Agostini, Roberts, Cecotto, Nieto or Pons. In short, world champions, to name just a few!

The quadruple French champion who has ridden in all disciplines, from GP to endurance via the Moto Tour, and who is a partner of the Niçois fabio quartararo, as evidenced by the combination of the latter, wanted to celebrate the success of the first French world champion in the premier category of the Grands Prix in a rather original way. From Sunday October 24, posters were hung in front of town hall and information panels display this same message throughout town: “Fabio Quartararo, MotoGP world champion. Proud of our Nice champion. »

The process continued during the night from Wednesday to Thursday in the city's tram maintenance center, where the trams received a covering bearing the image of the country's child. Some trains on lines 2 and 3 are affected, with these words, “Issa Nissa”, “a Niçois in the legend”, as well as certain trams of line 1 with “Proud of our Nice champion”.

Estrosi on RMC: “Fabio is a magnificent champion, we have seen this boy build his maturity season after season,” he said. It is an exploit. That the world champion is from Nice is a real joy. Nice will celebrate its champion today, tomorrow and in the coming weeks as it should. We are going to organize things in a big way like for Camille Muffat, Charlotte Bonnet, Clément Lefert, Hugo Lloris, Mathieu Faivre. Each time, Nice knows how to honor its champions. This victory is extraordinary. »

When will there be a parade on the Promenade des Anglais for The Devil ?
