The eleventh edition of the Retro international motorcycle de St-Cergue was held last Saturday in the Jura near Geneva. A unique road gathering in the world which brought together countless enthusiasts around 250 exceptional motorcycles, but also renowned riders. So this year, we found as guest drivers, in particular, Raymond Roche, Christian Sarron, Jacques Cornu, Philippe Coulon, Rolf Biland… but also competitors of the new generation, like Loris Baz and Sébastien Suchet.

After three long years of waiting, due to the pandemic, the event was back with a particularity: the grouping was for the first time classified as a “Historic Event” by the International Motorcycling Federation. And this allows us to observe two-wheelers up close in a way that we are rarely used to seeing.

This climb takes place on La Route Blanche, 7km long and having 70 bends, all different, an event very different from that of a circuit. The international retro motorcycle of St-Cergue brings together every two years machines that are at least 30 years old, but which are still as attractive as ever. A meeting for the greatest pleasure of the glories of motorsport. On site, for this great motorcycle festival in Switzerland, the former Swiss motorcycle speed glory Jacques Cornu, but also the new generation with Sébastien Suchet or Loris Baz.

Released in small groups of 3 or 4 from the start at Main-de-Gingins, on the heights of Trélex, the bikers take advantage of this exceptional closure of the road to push their machines as they please. Loris Baz on his BMW did not let Sébastien Suchet, renowned EWC driver, let go.
