Part of the paddock could have a (bad) surprise when they leave Australia for Malaysia next week.

Indeed, faced with the explosive setbacks of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phone, companies Qantas, Jetstar, Virgin Australia and Tiger have banned them from their planes. Qantas had authorized it subject to turning it off, but has hardened its position since last Saturday, given the risk of its battery exploding, even when it is turned off.

Consequently, Samsung has delegated personnel to seize affected laptops before boarding at Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Canberra and Adelaide airports.

If possible, an exchange will be offered for another model from the brand, which will undoubtedly be far from satisfying Galaxy 7 users, if only to save numbers, photos and other files on their phone.

Anyway, now, allow two hours for the usual check-in and security check formalities, plus two hours for your Samsung…
