The news that shook the paddock yesterday is of course the disqualification of Fabio Quartararo, initially qualified second, following the use of non-approved software. Let's hope the young French driver achieves the same performance in the race as Brad Binder at Jerez, who won the race after suffering the same sanction for the same reason.

The session begins with the falls of Fabio Spiranelli and Marcos Ramirez at turn #4 even before mid-session, the pace is already very fast given the lack of dry training, Andrea Locatelli recording a 1'37.721 ahead of Jorge Martin and Gabriel Rodrigo.
