No one wanted to be late at the start of a Q.2 promised to a biblical downpour shortly after its start. The drivers decided to play with slicks while waiting for the wrath of heaven. Who never came. A war of nerves won hands down by a sovereign Marquez.

Márquez was quick to take his sixty-fifth career peak position. Solid, he showed that he was indeed the boss of MotoGP this year by whipping his Honda slick on a track with still wet places.

A big heart shared by Crutchlow exited from the top of Q.1 and which offers itself the second cone of the first line. A head row completed by Pol Espargaro which saves Yamaha's honor. Lorenzo was certainly in the game, having left his teammate Red lost in the final fifteenth place, but he was never in the mix.

The Mallorcan even played the moving chicanes, embarrassing Redding and the Tech3 driver in their fast laps. A slap which knocked him to a sad twelfth place, the last of the contingent in the middle of the war.

Alex Espargaro ensures the presence of Suzuki at the top of the ranking, this time dominating a Casa Particular in Viñales abandoned in Q.1. As for the Australian public, they are happy to see the country's child Miller in fifth position. He will be a host for tomorrow's race.

Petrucci follows and above all also Hayden, impeccable for his freelance. The 2006 World Champion is seventh ahead Bradl which pleases Aprilia by ahead of the Ducati of Dovizioso, de Barbera, and of Redding.
