Without even mentioning the schizophrenic weather prevailing on the circuit (it is starting to rain again), it is exceptional to see so many big names having to try to get out of this repechage to move on to Q2: Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo, Maverick Vinales and Cal Crutchlow.

And as it will take place in the wet, everyone else also has a chance, except perhaps Tito Rabat and Mike Jones who nevertheless makes a very good replacement, and a Bradley Smith who is still very handicapped.

The first run sees the leadership of Cal Crutchlow, one second ahead Bradley Smith, Valentino Rossi, Eugene Laverty, Yonny Hernandez et Jorge Lorenzo.

The second run, reduced to a single flying lap, sees Bradley Smith restart on intermediate tires and fall a few moments later. Valentino Rossi keep your front rain tire and fit a rear intermediate. Loris Baz fall. Jorge Lorenzo uses drying trajectories and takes second position.

Crutchlow et Lorenzo therefore move on to Q2.  Red will start 15th.
