This morning, during the warm up, the battle of the titans with Marc Marquez had been a sort of warning of the level of competitiveness of Valentino Rossi on this Australian track in racing conditions.
Having just got off his official Yamaha at the end of an epic race which saw him move up 14 places to finish second behind Cal Crutchlow, the Italian rider spoke to the site's microphone MotoGP.com
Valentino, you went from 15th to second place. In the race, did you think you could catch Cal?
Valentino Rossi : “Yes, you know, we discovered this morning that we had good pace in the right conditions. Step by step I returned; the first few laps were a lot of fun at the start of the race. I tried and hoped to catch him. But today he was too fast, he was too strong, so congratulations to him and thank you to my whole team, to all the guys, because we did a great job! »
