Sixth in the Moto3 World Championship last year, already on a Team Gresini Honda and then teammate of Enea Bastianini, Di Giannantonio is aiming for the title this season. Second in Brno and sixth at Phillip Island in 2016 in a Team Aspar Mahindra, Jorge Martin will certainly improve on his sixteenth final place.

I am very happy to join this team, I think we can do great work together and achieve great results. Now we are just waiting to return to the track in a few days to get back to work, but I am confident because already last November, during my first outing on the Honda, I felt very comfortable and I had could have been quick right away. The bike is different from the one I have raced with so far in the World Championship, but I loved it from the first moment. We can still grow and I am convinced that we can fight for the top positions. It won't be easy, but we have the potential to do it. »
For the team owner, Fausto Gresini, who are " I would first like to thank Del Conca again, who supported this ambitious project with great enthusiasm. We can certainly claim to be a top team in the category and we believe we have the qualifications to challenge for the world title, as we have done in the last two seasons. Di Giannantonio already had great results in 2016, so we expect a lot from him because he can now count on more experience. On the other hand, Martin has accumulated good experience in recent years and I really like him as a driver: he is talented and I think he will give us great satisfaction. In addition, the choice of Jorge allows us to have a team with two potentially winning riders: this is the objective of the Del Conca Gresini Moto3 team.
