This is from the station Italian Dolomites ski resort of Madonna di Campiglio, in the province of Trento, that the team MotoGP Ducati Lenovo Team presents this morning the Desmosedici 2025 Marc Marquez et Francis Bagnaia.
Austrian until 1919, when it was annexed to Italy after the First World War, the place, once highly prized by the Austrian elite and today by the Italian bourgeoisie, will today have a Spanish touch, with the first appearance under the colours of Borgo Panigale of the unmissable Marc Marquez.
The Catalan had in fact participated in the Barcelona test with his own colours, certainly based on red, but he will now wear exactly the same livery as his teammate. Francis Bagnaia, with the exception of his personal sponsors, of which Red Bull is no longer a part, not to mention Monster Energy.
With undoubtedly the best MotoGP on the grid and two of the three best riders of the 2024 season, the 2025 Ducati team has undoubtedly formed a Dream Team under the leadership of Luigi Dalll'Igna. The teaser is not confusing and insists on the desired understanding between the drivers to return to the top of the class. We will see if this lasts the whole season, beyond the first races...
On the technical level, and logically, the Italian firm is not advantaged by the concession system. The engines that will be approved in Thailand will therefore be frozen for two years, without possible evolution, except in exceptional cases for reasons of safety, reliability or proven unavailability of components, provided that no increase in performance is obtained. Consequently, we do not expect major innovations in this area, especially since being classified A in the concession system, Ducati also has the smallest number of tires to carry out its private tests (170).
On the aerodynamic side, however, the Reds are still entitled to one evolution per driver and per season, and this is perhaps where we will see something new, although nothing in particular was tried during the Barcelona test…
Now, let's go live!
