The time for adjustments and other race simulations is now over, and Marc Márquez, Maverick Vinales, Jack Miller, Danilo Petrucci, Fabio Quartararo, Andrea Dovizioso, Franco Morbidelli, Alex Rins, Aleix Espargaró et Joan Mir, joined by Cal Crutchlow and Takaaki Nakagami during Q1, will now compete to make up the first 4 rows of the starting grid for this Qatar Grand Prix.
The wind has dropped somewhat to 10 km/h, but the temperatures, with 17° in the air and 16° on the ground, are notably cooler than yesterday, which, together with the rising humidity, explains the number significant falls occurred in FP3 and Q1.
Who will claim the first pole position of the 2019 #MotoGP season?

When the red lights go out, Maverick Vinales lets go of the other pilots led by Danilo Petrucci.
Everyone is of course on a soft rear tire while for the front the choice is a little more mixed.
The humidity has increased from 30 to 70%, and the drivers are taking their time to fully understand the grip of the track.

Maverick Vinales however, achieves the best first flying lap in a very fast 1'53.844 ahead Takaaki Nakagami, still hot from his Q1, and fabio quartararo.
That's a SERIOUS benchmark from @ mvkoficial12! 🔥

On resumption, Maverick Vinales, Andrea Dovizioso and Jack Miller light the partials in red, but if the Ducati riders take turns taking 2nd position, that's good Maverick Vinales which improves the provisional reference to 1'53.546.
By insisting a little too much, Jack Miller due to the now famous braking of turn 2.
What a fall from Miller! 💥😱
