This morning, in extremely cool conditions, Brad Binder pleased the Austrian companies Ktm and Red Bull by setting the best time in the first session of this weekend, ahead of the two leopards Joan Mir and Fabio Quartararo.
In the absence of any precise comparison, his time of 1'37.902 therefore remains the only reference at present.
This afternoon, temperatures warmed up very slightly with 13° in the air and 17 on the track.
From the outset, the morning strongman improved his FP1 time, in 1'37.670 then 1'37.499, 1'37.345 and 1'37.307. A continuous improvement undoubtedly made possible by the slightly warmer track, cleaned and erased by the passage of MotoGP and Moto2.
Behind, there is a gap, Enea Bastianini, second, already finding himself relegated to almost 7 tenths...
At the end of the first run, we find Binder, Bastianini, Bendsneyder, Loi and Quartararo making up the Top 5. Jules Danilo is 11th.
A little after, gabriel rodrigo recorded the 3rd time before falling without gravity at the very slow turn #3.
fabio quartararo then positions himself second but this devil of a Binder further improves his time, in 1'37.252, maintaining a gap of 6 tenths with the French driver. The latter nevertheless perseveres in his effort and reduces the gap to 4 tenths before being left behind by the Rookie Bo Bendsneyder who takes advantage of Livio Loi's aspiration to get within 7 hundredths of his teammate leader.
Binder is no longer completely calm and the final race sees him being caught and then overtaken by Fabio Quartararo in 1'37.190. The two Ajo drivers then put on new tires to try to regain their possession. And Binder achieves this in fine fashion by registering an impressive 1'36.514 which relegates Quartararo to almost 7 tenths!
Enea Bastianini is inserted between the two and Jules Danilo only appears 21st, two seconds behind, as we see him returning to the box being pushed after running out of fuel.
