You probably remember that Aleix Viu had dominated qualifying and thought he could escape in the races, while its competitors thought exactly the opposite…

Well, in the end, everyone was right!

During the first race, it was the young Spaniard who crossed the finish line in the lead before being downgraded for going beyond the curb several times.

Frustration, therefore, for the driver who had led from start to finish, but who, after the initial disappointment, quickly concentrated for the next day's race: “Je suis satisfait de cette course, même si je ne suis pas heureux du résultat. La moto était parfaite et je ne vais rien changer pour demain, à part rester sur la piste.”

The main beneficiary of this penalty is also Spanish and is called Mark Garcia: “C’était une belle course et j’ai fait tout ce que j’ai pu. Mon plan était de le passer au dernier virage mais il s’est rabattu et a pris la trajectoire.”

In the end, the 25 points of victory go to Marc Garcia, but Alex Viu nevertheless scored 20 points which allows him to get slightly closer to the championship leader, Ayumu Sasaki, the latter having climbed onto the 3rd step of the podium.

French side, Alexandre Juanes finishes 23rd lonely and we will soon broadcast his mid-season interview.

During the second race, Aleix Viu took his revenge after making a rather unusual deal with his two toughest adversaries; no attack before the last lap to be able to break away from the peloton!

The plan worked and the pressure increased a notch when Viu, Garcia and Sasaki gave everything they could in the last lap.

With this victory, Aleix Viu takes second place in the championship behind a Ayumu Sasaki which limits the damage by getting on the podium twice: “J’ai fait ce que je devais faire dans le dernier tour. J’ai passé Aleix mais il est fort ici, et il a pu me redoubler. Je n’ai pas renoncé mais il était juste devant moi dans le dernier virage.”

If Aleix Viu revealed himself as the strong man of the moment and went back to Ayumu Sasaki, Raul Fernandez is the main loser of this weekend. 5th in the first race and 7th in the second, the Spanish driver gave up a place in the championship and is now within shooting range of Marc Garcia, fourth.

Alexandre Juanes finished 21st, still quite far from the peloton.
