The Grand Prix Commission decided on May 11 to ban the use of winglets in the Moto3™ category with immediate effect.
The Grand Prix Commission, composed of MM. Carmelo Ezpeleta (CEO of Dorna), Ignacio Verneda (CEO of FIM), Hervé Poncharal (IRTA) and Takanao Tsubouchi (MSMA), took the following decisions during an electronic meeting held on May 11.

Aerodynamic fins – Moto3™ category
In March this year, it was decided that aerodynamic wings would be immediately banned from the Moto2™ category. He also decided that it would be the same for the Moto3™ category, from 2017.
Following a unanimous proposal from manufacturers in the Moto3™ working group, the Grand Prix Commission has confirmed that the ban on aerodynamic wings in Moto3™ will take effect immediately.
