Johann zarco reached a new dimension this season after a first appearance in MotoGP where he showed himself under the spotlight of the premier Grand Prix category. The fans were not mistaken and were able, for example, to remind journalists from the Eurosport channel that he should be among the athletes of the year. But before getting there, our Frenchman was beaten up. As during this 2011 season in 125cc which should have been the first crown of the tricolor associated, already, with the Ajo team. But that was without taking into account the low blows of the financial and political armada of the time: the team of Aspar Martinez.

Supported by a banker, aligning his compatriots Nico Terol et Hector Faubel, spearhead of the dominating technical power of the moment in the intermediate categories that was Aprilia, we should not tread too much on the flowerbeds of the band at Jorge Martinez.

However, the Ajo structure was titled in 2010 with a certain Marc Márquez and she notably lined up a Derbi for a Johann zarco who was in his third year in eighth of liter. And during the last two campaigns, the tricolor had only reaped successes of esteem.

But in 2011, he prevented the Spaniards from having their season among themselves. They therefore had to go through the green carpet to change the results acquired on the black asphalt. In Catalonia, after a virile joust, the Cannes resident won victory under his nose and beard. Terol. But barely had the lap of honor been completed when the forward was downgraded by a twenty-second penalty. Synonymous with sixth place!

At the Sachsenring, he finished in front this time Faubel by nothing, but the officials again denied him success by judging that the two men had finished in such a perfect tie that it had to be decided by their best lap in the race.

Hector Faubel commented: “It’s Simoncelli II, he always seeks contact and is excessively aggressive”. Here too, it is Jorge Martinez who pulled the chestnuts from the fire.

So many lost points which, added to the San Marino episode, counted in the end. But Terol had to be titled and it was in front John Zarco : 262 to 302! The Cannes native was, however, vice-world champion and joined Moto2 in 2012 to start a new adventure with MotoBi. When we see where Johann is now, what has become of Terol et Faubel, and we take stock of Jorge Martinez, we see that time has done justice to the current Tech3 Yamaha rider.
